Bedding Pics

I took some pictures of Isabella's room now, without the crib, but with the air mattress and her toddler bed. It's working out fine, but I'm ready for her bed. But I'm hopping that RTG will have a sale on kids furniture so I don't have to spend so much. That air mattress is killing me!

The last two nights Bella has come into the master in the middle of the night asking for milk. UGH! So I put her in our bed and get her some milk so we can all go to sleep. I can NOT sleep with her, she kicks and head butts me all night long. Tonight I will take her back to bed and see if that helps. I don't like her walking down the stairs by herself in the middle of the night anyway.

Terrible Two's

I thought I had experienced Isabella's terrible twos, starting at 18 months. But today she proved me wrong. We had to go to TRU to exchange some boots Aunt Lisa got her for her birthday and boy did she ever throw the worst fit. She doesn't know TRU can be fun, we don't go there often. She didn't want to sit in the cart, she wanted to walk (she's very, very independent!). I needed to go to the customer service counter first, then I planned to let her walk around and play. But she wanted out of the cart and would not sit on her bottom. So she cried and screamed while I did the return and then I let her out of the cart. She ran out the exit to go outside. Hello, this is a TOY store!!! I dropped everything and ran after her. She got a swat on the bottom and told, no running away from mommy. I picked her up and headed back inside, she went bananas! So we had to leave. She cried and screamed all the way home and then continued inside the garage where she ran around the car, not wanting to come inside. Then once inside she throw a fit and cried and screamed some more because she wanted to go for a ride in the car. Needless to say we had a nap instead of going shopping. I don't look forward to the terrible two's, especially with a baby around. I guess our days of going shopping are coming to a quick halt. I'll go alone when she's at school. Thank God for Tuesday and Thursday MDO programs!!

Princess Isabella helping herself to her birthday cake. She loved everyone singing to her!!

We had a wonderful day, over 50 guest came and the kiddos loved running around the house, up and down the stairs, to the media room and all around out side. The party started at 3:00pm and didn't end until 10:30pm, I guess we know how to entertain. Brian and I totally loved having everyone over, finally we can have parties again and not worry about where everyone will sit/stand. This new house is a great entertaining house. Can't wait until Cooper gets here and can be have spring time cookouts.

We're doing this all over again next weekend for the Superbowl!! Gotta love a good party!

Prego Daddy, Oh My!!

We took some funny pictures of my poor father next to my sister and I. This is what we got.

Only problem with daddy is he's been carrying his baby in his belly for over 40 years.... eek.

Pregnant Sisters...

So I finally have a picture of me and my sister, pregnant. It still is so finny sounding, my sister and I being pregnant at the same time. Almost a dream! So these pictures are from Isabella's birthday party yesterday. My sister is due May 5 and I am due April 21 a wopping 14 day difference. I've already planned to have baby Cooper born on April 17th, so that will add a few days. But my sister has had issure in the past where she had to have Michael 3 weeks early... so she could really, really screw up my timing. My mother is going out of the country the end of May, so baby M will thankfully be here before that.

Anyway, one of the pictures is of our faces. Notice the "pregnancy nose" I have already developed. This is the Johnston girls trait. We get the worst looking fat face every. This is one reason I haven't take any pictures of myself, I hate the way I look pregnant.

Big Girl Bed

What am I thinking? I ordered baby Cooper's (I think that is his name?!) bedding finally and it came yesterday. I LOVE IT! I'll post pics some day. It is airplanes from Pottery Barn, love it! Anywho, I pulled Bella's crib mattress out of her crib and put it in Cooper's crib. Bella wasn't sure what I was doing and really did catch on that her crib no longer had a mattress or bedding, so "where am I going to sleep" must have been going through her head. I made Cooper's bed all up so Brian could see the whole set before I washed it, he loves it!! So for Isabella to sleep last night, she has her toddler bed in one corner and the empty crib with no mattress AND a full size air mattress I blew up last night. I decided I would sleep in her room with her so I didn't have to play the "go back to bed, please" game with her all night. It was more like "get in bed and go night-night, please" for about an hour. Today we had a nap in her room on the air mattress and after about 30 minutes, she finally fell asleep. But the point of my story (there are many, I guess), she sleeps just like every other toddler. ALL OVER THE PLACE. She slept on top of my right leg, therefore, I was unable to move. Then I moved her so I could roll over and she put her head in my underarm, face down on her belly, I was even more uncomfortable. Then she laid right on top of my belly/chest and that actually hurt. Being 6+ months pregnant, everything hurts especially my chest! But not being able to move/roll over/put pillows everywhere, that made it very hard for me to sleep. Another thing, I play sweet music in her room all day/night long. I never turn it off and those darn lullaby's really, really got to me after the 3rd or 4th hour. Onward we go, I will tough it out, I want to get her big girl bed and all the bedding before next weekend. She'll be turning 2 on the 26th and I want her princess room to look magical. Not really sure we can make it happen, but I'm going to try. I am some what of a procrastinator these days.

WOW, What A Week!!

Today is Thursday, right? UGH, I have no idea who I am, much less what the day is. Our Christmas was fantastic, Isabella loved all her goodies and my surprise old fashioned pop corn trolley was a great hit for Brian. A true surprise! We had the families over for lunch and by the time they were leaving I started running a fever. So, by 6 o'clock I was in bed feeling pretty rotten. The next day was great, we played with toys and hung out as a family. At one point, Brian went to take my car to get the oil changed and when he returned an hour later, he was feeling really bad himself. Thankfully my fever was short lived and I was fine. This cold I have has hung around for over a month. So I sent Brian to bed after a dose of NyQuil and off to dream land he when. The following day, he was still feeling crummy, but woke to eat breakfast. As he and Isabella were sitting at the kitchen table, Brian had eaten his frosted flakes and was groaning when I looked over my shoulder at the two of them. He had his head in his hands and wasn't feeling well. Isabella and I were talking waffle talk and all of a sudden a heard a huge crash, shaken I looked at the table, where Brian was on the floor and the chair was flipped on its side. I ran to see his face, his eyes were rolling back in his head and his face was shaking and he was covered in sweat. I was asking him if he was alright and he kept saying, I'm going to get sick. I rushed to the telephone and called 911 and told the lady what happened, she tried to keep me calm, but it was too late for me, I was a mess. The ambulance arrived and the paramedics checked Brian out and he was pretty sick looking, white almost transparent. They loaded him up on the bus and took him to the hospital in Frisco. I called his father and told him to go to the hospital to be with Brian while I called my mother to come to my house to be with Isabella. My sister arrived to sit with Bella as my mom was at the hospital with Brian and my father in law. After a number of test and such, the diagnosis was MONO!!! My husband has mono. He also has an elevated liver function, I have really no idea what this means, but he will be going to a doctor on Monday to check it out. The doctor at the hospital told us to get it checked out, so he is! But back to the mono. I was tested on Friday and came back negative, so um where on earth did he get mono? Bella hasn't been that sick, I mean come on, she would have be hospitalized if she had mono at such a young age. So where did he get it? We are still trying to figure it out.
Anywho, mono is a very strange virus, there is no cure, nothing to take to make it go away or to make you feel better. It can make you feel ill for 4 weeks or so and it can stay in your body for up to 18 months!!! So I was at his beck n call for a few days and now he is feeling better, he even when to install a media room this week. But his boss doesn't want him to come to work unless he is 100%. So he's working from home. And that has proven new challenges, Isabella doesn't understand why daddy is home and not playing with her. I hope he goes to the office soon!!! We haven't kissed not even on the cheek, and not on new years. That is sad!! But I would rather be safe than very, very sorry. Watch who you kiss, drink and eat after. Even at 36 years old you can still get mono.
