Can't Catch A Break....

Saturday evening when Isabella woke from her late nap, I could tell she was sick. Around 11pm when I was laying in bed with her she started coughing and throw up all over her bed/me. (she christened her bed, her second night in her new big girl bed.) I just about threw up with her. Yuck, kiddo puke is nasty and smells really bad. Now this is the first time in her 24 months of life, that she has been sick like this. She has had colds, coughs, fevers, but never throwing up like she did. As I yelled for Brian to come up stairs, she did it again in the bed. OMG, I was "stuck" the way I was laying and the puke was all over my arm, hair and chest. All I could do is scream louder for Brian to HURRY UP! Besides not being able to just roll out of bed, I was just plain stuck with the yack all over me and I didn't want it to get all over the floor, bedding, pillows. I just didn't want to move. As we clean her up and I strip her bed and take it all down to wash and we all end up in our bed. I only have one set of sheet for Isabella's bed, one mattress protector, one of everything. I'll be going shopping soon. So, we end up in our bed room and I take a shower and while I'm in the shower, she does it again. So we all end up in the shower! I strip the bed and put another set of sheets on and some towels on the bed we all lay down and drift off to sleep. She does it again, we clean up the mess, sort of, and back to sleep, she does it again, that was the forth time. This kept going for 6 times all together, and by 5:00am the throwing up was over. We had 4 showers, about 10 towels, all the pillow cases, 4 sets of sheets and a bit of clothes to wash on Sunday. Sunday, she ran a fever (she did not run a fever at all while she was yacking on everything). So, we spent the day catching up on laundry, sleep and nursing a fever. Monday she was all better! No fever after 5pm on Sunday, so I just knew we were scott free. But nope, Brian turned the AC on upstairs Sunday and didn't turn it back to heat Monday night when it got down into the 30's. So, she woke up Tuesday with a AC induced cold! Needless to say, she didn't go to school on Tuesday and now at after 10pm she is in her bed coughing her head off and gagging. I'm just waiting for her to start throwing up again. I am very unhappy with Brian, I wish I had known the AC was still on upstairs, he turned it back to heat downstairs, duh, switch it back upstairs....

Bath Time, Again...

This is from last week, on the 17th. Isabella loves to eat noodles, but the best part is when she is finished and usually when my back is turned, she goes crazy with the left over noodles. We had already had our bath this night and she had actually already had her dinner, but when mom and dad sit down to eat, she has to join us. Two baths in less than an hour....

Her bowl becomes a hat!!!

Butter noodles are not the easiest thing to get out of baby fine hair!!

All Done!

Finally!! Isabella's Big Girl Bedroom Furniture

Before furniture arrived...

After....

Isabella kept saying "bed, bed"

Isabella climbing up into her big bed on her new foot stool. I still need to paint it.

Yesterday, Isabella's big girl furniture arrived from Rooms To Go. Once it arrived I had all her sheets and everything washed and ready to make the bed up, so when she got home from Honey & Poppy's she would be welcomed by her bed. Side note: her 5 drawer chest is on back order.
So when Isabella and I arrived home from my folks house, Brian wasn't too far behind. We all met in Bella's room and bounced around and enjoyed her new furniture. I am thrilled it is here and I don't have to pick out furniture again for at least two more years (Cooper's). I think for Cooper, we'll do a bunk bed, they have some really, really cool boy bunk beds out there.

Massage....mmm mmm Good!

Since Brian let me sleep in today, I called the Grand Spa in Addison to see if there was anyway I could squeeze in for a prenatal massage. Yes! I got in! WooHoo! I was able to get a 12 o'clock appointment for a 50 minute massage. I have to say it was the best massage I have had in a very long time. Well worth it! I smell good, I'm all relaxed, I look fresher. Now if I could only reach my legs to shave them, I'd be on top of the world. Can't have your cake and eat it too...

He's Home...

No, not baby Cooper, but Brian. He arrived home from his ski trip yesterday and boy were we glad to see him!! Thursday night my folks came over to spend the night with us, but when mom arrived, she realized she forgot her clothes for Friday, she had a business meeting all day and would be seeing the same folks Friday as she did Thursday. So she couldn't just wash and wear the same clothes, folks would think she was wearing dirty clothes. So, she had the brillant idea to take Isabella back home with her and Poppy and then Poppy could take care of her Friday until I was ready to come get her. This would mean I would sleep in this big house all alone. Fine by me. The house cleaners would be at the house Friday morning at 8am and I would just go upstairs to sleep in Bella's bed (air mattress) while they cleaned. And yes, you guessed it, I didn't sleep a wink, but I didn't worry that Bella was going to walk down the stairs and into my room and scare me. I took a sleeping aid and tried to force myself to go to sleep. No such luck, oh, well. When the cleaning folks got here, I was able to sleep for 2 hours and I felt better when I woke up. RTG was going to be coming with Isabella's big girl furniture between 11 & 3. They arrived at 12:30 and then I was off to get Isabella from Honey & Poppy's in Corinth and then back home to greet Brian when he arrived. I'm glad Friday is over, it was a busy day. Thankfully I was able to sleep ALL night Friday night and Brian even put Isabella to be (first time ever) and then he work up and went upstairs when she woke up at 6am for more milk (another first time ever). Then he got up with her for the day at 8ish and didn't wake me. I was a happy camper!

Sleeping Alone!!

Since Brian has been gone, I have not slept much more than a wink at night. Even after taking a sleep aid, still no good quality sleep. In my past I have had major issues with sleeping. I sleep walk and have hallucinations during the night. I guess it happens more when I am under stress. I started having them again once we moved into this house, the hallucinations have been every night since the week before Brian left. And now I can't even get to sleep before I start seeing people in the house, and then sometimes I go to check out what's happening. I'm sure the stress of being pregnant and Brian being out of town isn't helping matter. None the less, I am exausted, really I am so darn sleepy I dont' know what to do. My mother and father are coming tomorrow night to stay with us and I just plan to go to sleep once they arrive. I really need to get Brian's tax work done, but I can't sit in front of a computer and input data without falling asleep or typing the wrong stuff in. I just can't wait for Brian to return, I really do relay on him, especially at night.

Dishing It Out

Today wan't such a great day. Once Isabella and I woke up and get ready for our day, we headed out to find a unfinished furniture store I knew of in Garland. We trot to Garland (actually Mesquite) to find the store is no longer open. UGH. Then we head to Plano, to see if we can find another one Mark P told me about, finally we found it. I have been looking for a step stool for Isabella's room for her new bed. It's a little high, so she's going to need a step to get up into her big girl bed. I wanted on that was off white like her bedroom furniture, I have not been able to find one, so I wanted to just paint my own. So, finally this Treasued Wood store has everything you would even need in unfinished wood. So we got one, it's wasn't as cheap as I wanted, but it is really nice quality wood and big! Needless to say, I was very frustruated looking for this store.

We got home and it was nap time (past time). I was exausted and ready to sleep, Isabella was too, but since she was so tired she keep trying to stay awake. She did not want to go to sleep. She did everything under the sun to stay awake. I was so angry I actually had my own tantrum. I made her cry and I felt really, really bad. I don't know if I made her cry because I raised my voice or if she cried because she was just so darn tired. Once she finally fell asleep, she slept for 3 hours. We both needed it.

Getting Scared

Last night while Isabella watched a ton of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the DVR, I was able to make my hospital bag check list. I googled a few sites to see what I should bring to the hospital for the 3 nights & 4 days I will be there. I got pretty scared, OMG, this is really going to happen and like in 8 weeks, thats 58 more days. I started remembering what happend last time and really spooked myself. I am scared, I am going to have two kids in a matter of, well, days. I need a stiff drink, oh, wait I can't have a stiff one, how bout a Dr. Pepper, in an IV.

Calgon, take me away...

Dell Computers Stink....

I was suppose to get my new laptop today, but it seems that it is still being built. BS! I am so mad, I checked Brian's email this morning to make sure it shipped and No! The new ship date is Feb. 25th, so I might get it next day. I am so bummed! Brian is going to be pretty mad when he finds out. The offer he bought said the computers were all ready and able to be shipped next day. Then when he got the first email saying it was delayed until today he asked why and they said it was because they had run out of a part to build the computer with. He was NOT happy. I hope he's enjoying his Valentine's ski trip, while I slave over the dirty house and laundry without my new laptop.... :)

Home Alone!!

Isabella and I are home alone. Brian left today to go skiing with his buddy's in Vail, Colorado. I can honestly say, I don't like it! I was fine when he "asked" over two weeks ago, but not so much now. I have only 8 weeks and 2 days left in this pregnancy and I hurt all over. See: Discomfort... below. I don't fear that Cooper will come, I just don't feel good at all. I just hurt all over. I'm sure this will be a great break for him, but not so much for me... Isabella is two, ya know, and well she acts like the typical two year old. She runs hot and cold, she doesn't eat much and when she does it's crackers or cheese. And she's all about the drama. I plan to keep us busy, today we went with our playgroup to Pump It Up Jr. to bounce around. Tuesday is school, Wednesday I may take her to AdverntureKids Playcenter to play, that way I can be at home doing some work for Brian (inputting all his 2007 vendor invoices into a spreadsheet for taxes) and Wed. evening we're going to see a friend, Flo, who is having a baby girl March 13, we need to see her nursary and then Thursday she has school again and Friday the cleaning lady comes and so does her new big girl furniture! So we do have a somewhat busy week ahead of us. I just dread Isabella missing her daddy. She gets all moody and acts like a two year old. She's already saying "daddy home" and all I can say is daddy is working.

When Brian planned this trip I was completely fine. I planned to go to my folks house or have my mom say a night with us, just so I could go to the bathroom in peace!! No such luck. My mother is very busy this week and if the situation was ANY different she would be here for me. But my grandfather needs her so much more than I do right now and she must be with him. I wouldn't have it any other way. My PawPaw has had some health scares lately and now his wife is having some major issues. Pop is in his mid 80's and he's had a long happy and health life. He is so strong and his wife is headed down the same path of my grandmother, Pop's first wife. I hate to see him deal with this all over again. He can handle it, but I'm not sure my mother can.
So we may go stay with them one night, but with school and such, I'm not sure we'll be going that way, to much traveling for me.
This is my Pawpaw and Isabella when she was a baby.

Valentine's Day...

This past week on Valentine's Day, Isabella's class was allowed to have a party and wear their pajamas to school for the day. How fun! So, for her birthday Patti and Jennifer got her the cutest Valentines' pajamas, so she wore them. Here are a few pictures of her in the cutest pajamas, playing outside during the afternoon in the beautiful sun. It was a fantastic day!

For dinner, since Brian was working, Bella and I went for some PF Chang's. She didn't like it much, but boy did Cooper and I!!! YUMMY!!

My computer should arrive tomorrow! Can't wait!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMBERLY!!!!

I have a great girl friend that has an amazing birth date. Amberly's birthday is on Valentines' Day, how cool would that be. This year she will be celebraing her birthday in her new home country, the Philippines. Her very smart and talented husband was awarded a transfer opportunity to the Philippines for two years. What an amazing opportunity for her and her sweet family. I have been able to keep up with her on the Samberly.blogspot she has been keeping. It's fun to be able to watch her kids grow up and 'hear' about the doings of her and the family http://samberlysays.blogspot.com/. Her blog is the reason I started this one.
Amberly, I hope you have a fantastic birthday and enjoy your new surroundings. I miss you and love you and can't wait to see you again (in a year and a half!).

Sun In.... Progress

I'm putting Sun In in my hair and I look much better! I need to get a picture to so you, I can't believe how dark my roots really were. I've only done the Sun In three times, but I soak my hair in it and then blow dry it. It really work for me.

I remember when I was in high school I would do it in the winter and I always had sun kissed hair, I loved it. I would only have to use it 3 or 4 times in the summer and usually when I was in the sun laying out I would just squirt it on and go about my day. Now I have to be consistant with it and continue using it every month. I'm not a young as I used to be....

Bella's Furniture

So, yesterday we went to RTG to purchase Isabella's new bedroom furniture. Side note: I had her mural in her bedroom painted for the specific bed HE and I picked out months ago. When he walked into the store, he decided he didn't like it as much anymore. OMG, are you serious!!! HE picked it out, and I remember saying I was shocked he liked it because it is very girly. So we muddled around the store looking at all the other options and mattresses and decided to "sleep on it" for a few days. Also, there most likely will be a President's Day sale this weekend and by then we'll know what we want to do.

The hard part is we like the bed of one set and the night stand and dresser of another, but the ivory/off white is not the same. So we can't mix and match. UGH. So I think I have about decided to do the very plain bedroom furniture. The bed Brian likes best. It is not frilly or girly, it can grow with her for a very long time. So now we have to just wait until there is a sale this weekend and go get it!!

Valentine's Day Gifts....

My husband is the most amazing man in the world. I know I have said that before, but this time he out did himself. He informed me that my Valentines' gift is on backorder for a few days. It won't ship until after Feb. 18th. That means it will come the next day. I wasn't sure what it was going to be and I didn't push the subject. But, Brian will be out of town on his Valentines' gift ski trip with his buddies, so he won't be here to get it and he knows I won't let it just sit until he arrives back home, some how I will know what it is when it arrives. So over lunch yesterday he told me all this and we played the guessing game. I guessed the following: a new watch, diamond ear rings, any type of jewelry, face resurfacing, a new bigger USB drive (he's a gadget man) or a new car. He laughed at all of those. I really had no clue, because I don't need anything. He said yes that I do need this. So now I'm wondering big time what on earth does he think I need. Well come to find out, it's a new laptop from Dell!!!! I DO need a new laptop, this one I am on is about 10 years old, that is ancient in the computer world. SO I can not wait until next week, I am not going to wait until he gets home to open it, is he crazy or something. I am shocked and excited and happy and shocked (did I already say that). This is really unlike him, not what I expected for a Valentines gift, but as I ponder on the past V-day gifts he's done really well. He got my first Palm Pilot the first V-day we were married. And we have got silly things, but he's always done good. Now if I can just teach him to do the same for my birthday. There is still hope.

Discomfort...

This pregnancy is almost to its end and I don't remember this much discomfort with Isabella's pregnancy. Isabella never dropped and I never had real true contractions with her, so I am a bit alarmed everytime something hurts. I did have Braxton Hicks with Bella, but they were managable, what I have been experiencing is much more pain. He is dropping and that is causing me to have major cramping and discomfort down there. OH, MY GOSH! I really don't think I'm going to make it until April 17th. I go to my doctor tomorrow, I hope she measures me and tells me something 'good'. But I know she won't. I am 31 weeks-ish, and I just can't see how this big ole' belly will last that long! He is so active, I think that doesn't help with the pain much either.

Valenties' Day!

I went to a very cool jewelry party (Silpada) last week and bought myself some very, very, pretty jewelry, for Valentine's Day, from Brian. He didn't know until after it was charged on his credit card that he got me something, but he was fine with it. But today he told me that my Valenties' gift was going to be late, it's back ordered until Feb 18th. I am excited, I wonder what it is? A new gadget of some sort I'm sure. He's not into buying me jewelry (that is why I bought some for myself) and he's really not into big surprises. Except for my birthday gift, all the halloween decorations. Yep, that was a big surprise!!! So, I'll let you know what it is.

Now I have to get him something besides doing laundry.

I did get my jewelry from Silpada and it is beautiful, really, really pretty! I love it and can't wait to wear it. It is everyday jewelry, so I'll get a lot of use out of it. It's a tennis bracelet and a beautiful necklace. Now I need to look for some ear rings.

Isabella's Bedroom Furniture

Brian called me today to let me know we can go ahead and order Isabella's bedroom furniture!!! I can honestly say, I am more happy about getting her furniture than I was about all my new furniture for my home. Mainly, because I have been the one putting her to sleep or sleeping with her for the past few weeks and I do not like the air mattress she is on now. If I forget to pump it up each night, it is so soft and I am not comfortable at all...I can't wait until her new furniture comes!!!

And to top it all off we got Cooper's furniture handed down to us from my SIL. She had everything for her daughter's bedroom she was selling on CraigsList and I was able to catch it just in the nick of time. Now I have all the furniture I need for Cooper's baby room.

Weekend at Honey & Poppy's

Brian went out of town this past weekend so Bella, Jewels and I went to my folks house.
Friday night we went to see Mavrick who was part of the King & Queen of Courts. For private schools who don't have a football team, they don't have the normal/typical homecoming football celebration. What they have is a basketball King & Queen, and the Court consist of one boy and one girl from all the other grades in the school. And Mavrick was chosen for his grade to become the King of his grade. It was so cute, he was dressed up and his Queen Kai was so pretty. All the kiddos looked great.

Saturday we spent the day shopping. We started looking for maternity things for me, then after nap time, we all went shopping for dad a new recliner. We went to a lot of furniture stores and Bella did pretty good.

Sunday I was able to pawn Isabella off to mom about 7am and go back to bed until 10am, that is the first time in a very, very long time I was able to sleep in. I wish I could do that once a week. I would feel so much better.

Pincess

I bought Isabella her first Princess movie today at Costco. We now own Cinderella! She loves it, "Pincess, Pincess" is all she is saying now. She is currently watching her movie in the living room while I sit on the couch typing this. I can say I do not remember this movie or any other princess movie, so I'm going to enjoy watching this movie with her (for the first 30 times). She has never sat longer than 20 minutes to watch anything, so this is a nice break for me.

I must admit, I some times feel like Cinderella. But don't we all!!!

I'm so glad I found my camera...

I had so much to say today.... thanks for reading.

Isabella's Doctor Visit!

Isabella did so good today at her 2 year old doctor visit. Even her doctor and the nurse said she did well! She did not have to get shots, thank goodness. She won't have to get any more until she's 4, Yeah! Here's her stats, she's growing like a beautiful flower!!

Weight: 29lb 8oz (80%)
Length: 34 1/2 inches (65%)
Head: 19 inches (69%)
BMI: 17.42 (75%)

I am completely surprised her weight isn't more, she is getting longer, so she just looks like she should weight more.

Today was a very beautiful warm day, so I dressed her in her spring time outfit Jenn and Patti gave her for her birthday. She is so darn cute!!!

Also, an up date on Cooper! I went to the doctor last Thursay (I start going every two weeks now) and he is measuring big, but doctor isn't concerned as of yet. I have 10 weeks to go and Isabella always measured big and she was full term (7 lb, 12oz). I have gained a total of 21 lbs so far! EEK! And the toughest part is ahead.

New Wheels!

The Croft family gave Isabella her new set of wheels! It's a bike trailer that their kiddos have grown out of and Brian had been looking for a trailer to pull Isabella and baby brother around in this summer (not sure brother will be ready). Isabella LOVES her new wheels! Here are a few pictures from this past week of her first bike ride. Notice her outfit, it was cold and I didn't want her to get sick, so like any good mother, I dressed her warm!! Also, note that Brian is in short sleves.

Airplane, Airplane!!!

These three pictures are from a camera phone, so they aren't the best, but to me, they are so darn cool!! We live in the greatest community, we share a tree line with a small private airfield called Kitty Hawk. The folks that live in Kitty Hawk, fly their small aircrafts on beautiful days and Isabella loves it! Airplane, Airplane is all she yells throughout the house when she hears them outside. We (all three of us) love to watch the airplanes fly over head. So yesterday, Brian took Isabella on a bike ride, in her new wheels (see above post) and they went to see the planes. I'm so sad I didn't get to go! But the one airplane that does most of the stunts and flys around a lot is the one that Isabella got to get in and Mike the owner took her pictures and sent them to Brian!!! I love it! I can't wait to go back and meet Mr. Mike and touch these very cool aircrafts myself. I wanted to share Isabella picture in the airplane with you.

Sun-In Here I Come

After looking at a few past vs. present pictures of myself, I have decided I really look warn out and washed away. These two picture tell how my hair has suffered from two different pregnancies. The first is current. My hair is very, very dark (for me) at the root and about 5 inches, and really need a good coloring! The second pictures shows me at about the same time in each pregnancy, but the second is a much fresher, lighter me. I like me better with lighter hair. So I'm going to buy a few bottles of Sun-In and have a great time, refreshing myself. Look for a lighter, fresher me coming to a computer screen near you...

Now...yuck.

This is a good pregnancy hair photo:

Found It!!

It was lost, but I found it. Deep in the bottom of the diaper bag, under the diapers and wipes, with a fork. I am so happy, I'll post pictures soon. I do have some good ones....

Lost My Camera...

OMG, I have no idea where my camera is. I think Bella has wondered off somewhere with it, but I don't know where she might have "played" with it last. I know it's in the house, but where. It's not like you can call it and it will ring, I do this often with my cell phone. Isabella has gotten into climbing onto step stools and reaching for things on the counter or climbing onto the table and sitting on top, so there really is no telling where it is. I know where the case is. But I can't find the darn camera. There are some really cute pictures of her, of course, I would love to share, but I am pulling my hair out! Oh, if I tell Brian he will skin my hide. Oh what to do.....

2 Years Old

I went to one of my favorite photo studios to have Isabella's 2nd Birthday photos taken. She was so much better than usual, I guess she's growing up. I actually got in the photos with her as you can see from the photo above, she was such a sweet princess. Portrait Innovations is the studio I have used since she was 6 months old and they do a pretty good job. They took 101 photos of Isabella and then you can choose the ones you want and they print them off right there and give you the CD of all the photos taken. Love the idea of getting your reward so quickly. So here are a few of the ones I got made. And some I did not choose to keep. Wonder why?

Can you say "huge nose!!"

These are better...
