Valentine's Day

I cannot wait until Valentine's Day. For Christmas this year I asked from my parents if they would take the kiddos for 48 hours. I just want 48 hours to be alone, no diapers, no bottles, no sippy cups, no gold fish, nothing to do with kids. I want to be selfish. If I want to sleep in and not get out of bed until 6pm (which I have done before), I want to be able to do it. If I want to have wild, hot, passionate sex with my sexy husband all.day.long, I want to be able to do it without the threat of a child waking up. So, I asked mom if she could pencil me in for the weekend of Feb. 14th. She and dad will be taking the kids Friday until Monday. I WILL be a NEW woman/mother. I have already scheduled a 70 minute stone massage at the Stonebriar Spa. I'm going to get a facial, a pedicure/manicure. I'm thinking of wild and crazy things to do to my husband. And I look forward to having some alone time. The only time I have alone time now is when I sneak into the bathroom to go potty. It happens often, but it doesn't last long. I'm going to shave my legs and put on a nice outfit, do my hair and put on make-up all of which are a rarity in this house. I will either make my Valentine dinner or allow him to take me out and show me off. I plan on being very selfish, do for me and let this few days be a little vacation of sorts. I'm looking forward to sleeping in on Sunday morning. I may just stay in bed all day long. That thought puts a huge smile on my face.
Thanks Mom & Dad! You are the BEST parents in the world. WE LOVE YOU!

2009 Physical Results

I had a physical done a week ago and the results were not surprising. My cholesterol isn't good. My good HDL cholesterol was 36, it should be higher so I was told to do more aerobic exercises, no problem. My LDL or bad cholesterol was 144, it should be under 100. The over all score was 212, it should be under 200. So I have some work to do on my diet and continue exercising as often as I can. I want to go back in 6 months, before we go on our beach vacation and get the test done again. I want to see results. I had other test run and everything was fine. I had an x-ray of my tail bone and they couldn't see anything wrong. It hurts to sit, clinch my butt cheeks, stand, walk. It hurts all the time, I'm almost numb to the pain. So I'm going to see a physical therapist on Tuesday to see what needs to be done. I'm sure something is just out of wack.

Organization

I finally feel organized. I haven't gotten to the anal organized state, but I'm getting there. I have purged and organized my closet. I threw out over 3 garbage bags of clothes, a few pairs of shoes, t-shirts, shorts and many other things. I hung my clothes with the hanger turned around, so that in 6 months I can purge again (I may do it quarterly). If I have not turned the hanger around, that means I never wore the article and I should get rid of it. I bought storage saver bags to put our sweater in, so we can store them properly once springs arrives. I cleaned the top of the shelves above the clothes and got rid of some other junky stuff. It felt great. I don't need cute purses that have collected dust an inch deep. I'll never carry that purse again, I know I won't (my plan is to get a LV once I'm finished with diaper bags). I also cleaned out the upstairs closet, so I could put the wrapping paper from the guest bedroom down stairs, up in the weight room closet. I threw a few things out in both closets. I'm putting my wedding dress on CraigsList and an old leather jacket that is not 'cool' anymore. I purged the coat closet at the back door and cleared out the laundry room. It all feels great. Every time I turn around, I'm cleaning something. I have even made time to clean the kitchen every day, all day. I keep the dishes going and out of the sink (Brian loves this part). I have been trying to keep on top of the laundry. Tonight I even got on my hands and knees and cleaned my hardwood floors with a rag. I scrubbed the floors. And let me tell you, I have NEVER done that. I have only swept the floor a handful of times and I've only mopped it a few times. But since I let our cleaning lady go, I have to stay on top of it all, all the time. And I'm proud of myself. You go girl!

To-do List For January

I made myself a long to-do list for this month. I have things like make an appointment for a facial (I have a gift certificate from Patti that she gave me when I had Cooper). Make 5x7 photos of my sweet family to frame and put about the house. Take babykid stuff to Patti, Flo & goodwill. Hooks for aprons in the pantry and put stuff on CraigsList. The list goes on and on, but you get the point. The Januray list is stuff that will make life easier. I also have a few closets, cabinets and drawers to purge this month. I'm happy to say, most of this list is finished and it's only the middle of the month. I'm thrilled to have a monthly to-do list and to actually make progress on this list makes me breath easier each day.
Yea Me!

Weight Loss

The mom's group I'm a member of is having a weight loss competition. It started today and I have officially started a real true diet. I realized, I don't like fat free anything. I'm going to do the counting calories. I can count, no problem. I weighed in this morning and it was less than I had expected. Only 28lbs and I'll officially be a Hot MILF. Yes, that is my shallow goal. I haven't been hot since I started dating Brian, I think he deserves a hot wife. So, I'm gonna give it to him. And I want to go to the beach this summer and I want to look great in a bikini. Yes, I want to put my ass back into a bikini. I have goals and they are reachable. And I'm going to do it. I'm going to post my progress here. To get into the competition you have to pay $15, if one gains anything, they have to put $1 into the pot. So, the winnings will grow, hopefully, but not by me! This should be fun. Game ON!

10 Days From Today

10 days from today is my baby girl's 3rd birthday. I'm still in awe of my life, my husband, my children, my career and just who I am. I'm the most blessed person I know, and I don't realize it most of the time. Isabella Renee Corr, my sweet, independant, loving baby girl will be three on January 26th. I adore my baby girl, she is my favorite daughter, she is such a wonderful daughter. She teaches me something about myself everyday. She is a spitting image of me, she is everything I was and I am proud of that. I love how strong willed she is. She has a mind of her own and she isn't afraid to use it. I love that! It is a struggle at times, many times a day, we have our spats. And I dread and look forward to our years to come. She is going to be a piece of work, she will back talk, she will give me the go.to.hell looks, she will push her limits, she will fail and she will run back to me. She know who loves her, she know who will care for her and she knows I will always be there for her. When she calls my name I will jump and run for her. None of that will ever change. She will be like me and I will enjoy seeing me in her ever step of the way. I have heard that the 3's are worse than the 2's; if the 2's were bad, get ready for even more. I'm ready, give me your best shot, baby girl! We will get through this and have even more love for each other. I'm ready to learn more and make many more memories!
I love you, Isabella. You make me so happy!

Bella's Mother's Day Out Program

This next fall 09-10 school year, I have not decided what I'm going to do with Bella. She will go to MDO somewhere, I'm just not sure where. I have her at McFBC T/Th which cost $195 a month. Ouch. Then on Wed. she is at Infinite Bounds which cost $120 for one day. Double ouch! I'm trying my hardest to get her into CCBC where my BIL Mark works. It is just around the corner and I like the church and really could become a member there. CCBC cost $145 for two days or $205 for three days. I want her to keep going to gymnastic school, but I hate to pay that price, it is outragous. So, I'm going to check into Eagles Wings, they have a program that is a bit less.
So, in a perfect world, I want Isabella to go to CCBC on T/Th at $145 a month (saving $50 a month). And then Eagles Wings is $45 a month for a 45 minute class. Now, I just have to get into CCBC, which is a lottory system, so Bella may not get in! UGH!

Bella's Big Birthday Party Plans

I finally finished with planning Isabella's birthday party. I'm so excited! This year we are going to have her party at Infinite Bounds, her gymnastics school. She is going to be so excited. I have invited a TON of her friends. She's not going to know what to do with herself when she sees all her friends there to party with her. The gymnastics school has two bounce houses the kiddos will play on and then they have all the trampolines and foam pit and the bouncy floors and then some other stuff the lady was telling me about. All I have to do is show up with a cake and I'm done! I have invited about 60 kids, I'm praying all won't come!!! I've already gotten a really good response and the parents just got the invite today. WOW, I'm so glad it won't be at my house!!! I invited both her school classes. That accounts for nearly half and then all the cousins. This will be a great party and I really can't wait.

Crack Anyone?

Butt Crack that is. This past visit to the farm, I had to snap a few photos of Isabella. She hated her blue jeans, so I bought her two new pairs in a size 4T. But they are too big and too long. But she will wear them. So I dressed her in her big, big girl blue jeans and she went about her day. That afternoon, I just couldn't resist her butt crack peeking out. We laughed our heads off, and I got the perfect shot. Yes, she'll see these pictures when we meet her first boyfriend and when she graduates from high school and when she gets married!!! (insert evil laugh). I love you Isabella!!

This is an amazing picture Brian took of the old barn/shelter that Pop used to put his wild horse or goats that were about to have a kid or cows that had calfs or just whatever animal he wanted to keep an eye on. It looks awesome in this picture. Boy, I sure do love my new camera!

Sweet Ashley

My beautiful niece Ashley, well, she's my favorite. She is a typical teenager. She reminds me of me at times, when I was her age. Although my mother would have slapped my face if I talked to her the way Ash talks to her mother. Ashley came to visit this past weekend and we had a nice visit with her. BUT, she got a cell phone from her on.again.off.again father as a Christmas gift. With that said, I am putting this in writing because I want to remember how incredibly irritating it was for me to see her on that stupid cell phone the e.n.t.i.r.e. time she was here. I just hope her father learns his lesson when he gets the bill. I want to say, I will not get my child a cell phone until she/he gets a car. I only say that because if Bella and Cooper are driving around and have an emergency I want them to be able to call Brian and I asap. But at age 13, what the hell does she have to talk about that can't wait until she can get somewhere and pick up the phone and call a friend about? I mean, really, we went to Target to get some grocery's and she was on the phone texting the whole time and every once in a while she would so "oh, I have 3 messages". Really, come on! On Saturday and Sunday she was glued to that thing. Having her over is completely different, that phone is more 'fun' than the kids. At dinner one night she kept getting texts, I finally said, "that is really rude to text at the dinner table." Granted, she's not at home with her family, but she was at the table with Brian, Isabella, Cooper and me. I would hate to think she would do that at a girlfriends house when she is at dinner with her friends family or at a restaurant with her friends. She really needs ground rules. And I will make sure that when my kids get a cell phone that there will be major ground rules. So, remind me of this blog when Cooper and Bella get cell phones, in about 18 years!!!!!

Only A Mother Could Love...

A mouth, only a mother could love (and an Aunt). My sweet adorable nephew Mavrick has lost so many teeth that he can barely chew food. Poor guy! His mouth is hysterical to look at and his words come out sounding so funny. I had to ask him about 10 times to repeat what he said. I am going to keep these pictures for when he has his first girl friend, graduates from high school and when he get married. Love you Mavrick!

Update on Zachary... Great News

Lisa and Zachary went to the neurosurgeon today and received amazing news. Zac's tumors (yes, he has two) are tiny, neither are operable. They are so small that any operation would cause more damage than his body needs. He also has a cyst on the other side of his brain that is causing no problems. Neither the tumors or cyst are the cause of any of his problems or headaches. So, hopefully with this news, the stress will be lifted from him and his headaches will be gone. The tumors have been there for a very long time. So, Zac will go back in 3 months for another brain scan to make sure the tumors are not growing. Then again in another 6 months, then every year. The tumor is not cancerous, they can tell by the way it is being 'fed' by the veins. This is all incredible news.
The Lord has done amazing work on Zachary's brain.
Thank you for all the prayers.

My New Year's Resolutions for 2009

I make new years resolutions every year and I never remember what they are. I guess I could scroll back in this blog to find out what I did last year. But I'm sure it wasn't anything earth shattering, because I was pregnant with Cooper. So, this year I am typing them out so I can keep account of what I want to resolve for 2009. So here it goes...

1. Loose weight. I currently weigh (on my home scale, not the gym scale) 149. I gained a few pounds during Christmas. My selfish goal is 120, but I'll be happy as can be with 130.

2. To eat better and feed my family better.

3. To really and truly learn how to cook amazing meals that my husband will complement me for making and request when I say "what do you want for dinner?"

4. To get organized again and stay organized. I was so anal before kids, I knew where everything was; now, not so much.

5. I want to take time to clean my house, myself. I am the only one that can clean my house the way I want to clean it and the way I expect it to be cleaned. I can't keep paying someone else $130 to clean my house and be dissatisfied.

6. To get on a budget and really watch where every single dollar goes. I want to use cash and only cash for 'stuff' and the credit card for grocery's and gas.

7. I want to take time to pamper myself. I love to go get a manicure and pedicure, but I don't do that very often, especially in the winter. I want to go once a month to get both done.

8. I want to spend more time with Isabella, alone. Isabella is crying out for one on one time with me and/or Brian. And I love our time alone. She is so creative and loves crafts and baking and spending time outside. This is somewhat of a priority, I don't want her to take her anger out on Cooper, and I'm completely aware of her need for attention.

9. I want to keep Cooper and Bella's toys fresh and new. This means to put away the toys in three different bins and rotate them once a month. After Christmas and now that Bella's birthday is in a matter of days, I want them to have certain toys and really play with them.

10. I want to monitor Isabella and Cooper's TV intake. I only want to have the TV on for maybe 2 hours a day, that will be 4 30 minute splashes of TV time. This will be easy, except when I have to put Cooper to sleep and I need her to stay put, away from Coop's room. Or when I am making dinner and the such. I just need to figure out how to make it work. She's done fantastic, I started this during her Christmas break and she doesn't seem to miss the TV much.

11. Umm, really I think that this is enough already. Don't you think?
