Past Weekend

This past weekend was so much fun. Saturday morning Brian, Isabella and I went to a siblings class for Isabella at Plano Presby. In the class she was able to make a picture for her baby brother to have in his bassinett at the hospital. It is a soft foam sheet with Isabella's picture glued on it and foam shapes around it. It says "I love you Coop". She really enjoyed making that for Cooper. Then the nurse read the kiddos a story, then we all changed a doll babies diaper and swaddled the baby. Then the nurse took us on a short tour to see the babies in the nursary on the 3rd and 4th floors. She showed us a hospital room so the kiddos will feel comfortable seeing the moms in a bed for a few days. Isabella could have cared less!! She loved running around and saying "hi" to everyone she passed. It's going to be very hard to keep her in the hospital room, but I plan on taking her a few fun things to do. Her visits will be short, but sweet!

Then after the hospital class/tour we came home napped and then went to one of her MDO classmates birthday party. Camden turned 2 and his parents had such a fun birthday party. The Big Blue Choo Choo was the entertainment http://bigbluechoochoo.com/ . They had two of these trains going around the neighborhood all afternoon. Isabella had a fantastic time, playing with her friends and riding the choo choo. When we came home for a few days she kept tooting her horn (goody bag gift) and saying "All Aboard" "Choo Choo" She really likes trains now. Gotta love it!

Doctor's Appointment Update

I am currently 33 weeks pregnant! Since they will be taking Cooper 5 days early, I only have less than 6 weeks left in this pregancy! Cooper/my belly is measuring early, doctor didn't tell me how much bigger, but she said she may do a sonogram next time if I am still measuring big. But I have been measuring big for over two months now. And Isabella measured big as well and she was only 2 days early, via c-section, and she weighed 7lb 12 oz. Perfect size, not to big and not too small!! So I'm not concerned that Cooper is measuring big, it just makes me very uncomfortable, but that is to be expected.

I have gained 31lbs, total this pregnancy. (20 of this in the past two months, EEK) I'm not too happy about it! Like I said, I have 6 weeks left. And baby does gain a lot these next few weeks!!! EEK! I told Brian I will be getting a personal trainer once I'm ready to go to the gym! When I was pregant with Isabella I gained around 35lbs. give or take a few. So I'm on course, I just don't want to gain much more than I already have. But, I'm not going to stop eating the boxes of girl scout cookies I have in the cupboard!

Baby Cooper is doing great, he is very active and loves to kick and punch and move all around in my tummy. It is really a fun feeling, until you lay down to go to sleep and he's playing tiddlewinks in your belly. It's funny and I enjoy it. I can't believe he'll be here in less than 6 weeks. I can't wait to hold him and start our lives as a family of four.

The Second Round...

Texas is just down right crazy this winter season. Thursday I dropped Isabella off at school and went to a doctor's appointment, then home to take a quick nap. I laid down about 11:45am and heard the rain falling, off to dream land I went. When I woke up, I turned on the tv around 1:20p, to help me wake up. The news was on, which was odd, usually it's a soap or some other stupid show I don't watch, so I took a peek at the tv and OMG, it was snowing in Denton and they were closing schools around town. So I jumped out of bed and looked outside and OMG again, it was like another winter wonderland threw up in my back yard. What is going on? OMG, I have to get Isabella from school! I felt so bad, the school had closed but there were still more than half the kiddos in the classrooms. Isabella didn't take a nap, because parents kept coming to get their kids. I really felt bad, but she didn't have a clue. The snow flakes were just beautiful and huge. I called Brian and he was at Costco in Plano and there it was only raining. When he started home, there was a major change in the weather, he could see where the rain stopped and the snow started. He said our neighborhood was just amazing and thick with snow. Thankfully it was just snow that turned into slush, so this morning the roads were very easy to drive on and life is back to normal here is crazy Texas. It sure has been a pretty week of snow and crazy weather and temperature changes. Gotta love the March snow...

What A Difference...

A few hours after I took the previous snow falling photos and posted them, the snow started falling harder and kept falling until probably after midnight. This is what we woke up to this morning. Isabella LOVED it. She kept saying "snowman". Because that's all she really knows about snow is that you make snowmen from snow. One of the books I read her nearly every night is Pooh's first day of winter and they talk about making a snowman. She was very dramatic this morning and would have really loved it if I would have let her play in the snow, but I do not like being cold, so we just peeked out at it and touched it a little. Then back inside to watch it from the warm couch!

It's Raining... It's What? SNOWING!!!

This evening I went to the grocery store around 5:00pm to buy a house full of grocery's! I had a long list and spent over an hour and a half in the store. When I went in to the store it was raining and very bitter cold winds. When I came out, it was snowing. Big beautiful snow flakes!! It hasn't stopped! It was 80 degrees Sunday and now it's down in the lower 30's and snowing. I love it. I was wondering if it was going to snow this winter, and I just about gave up on it. It's a pleasant surprise!

This is from our back yard. Last night the wind and rain blew over Isabella's slide. Notice the big fluffy flakes. Love it!!

This is the front yard, you can tell it's not sticking on the pavement. I'm completely fine with that! I want Isabella to go to school tomorrow so I can get my errands run!

If there is more snow when I wake up, I'll take some more pictures and post them.

Side Note About Dell....

So after Brian canceled the order for the laptop, Dell called. The guy told him that since this one computer is not truly available, then they wanted to upgrade the computer. And guess who fell for it... yep, Brian. So he's letting them have another chance. My new laptop should be here "by Monday" I'm not holding my breath...

Dell Computers Really Suck!!

So after nearly a month of being backordered, Brian finally canceled the order for my Valentines' gift, a new lap top. I'm so glad. I don't want Dell to have a dime of our money! The computers were suppose to be built and ready for shipment, but it has been on back order for nearly a month due to some parts needed for the computer. I am so mad and frustrated, as is Brian! So this morning when they said it would ship, he got another email saying it will be another week. Jerks!! So, he's going to buy one in town and bring it home in the next few days (after a lot of research, I'm sure)!!

Can't Catch A Break....

Saturday evening when Isabella woke from her late nap, I could tell she was sick. Around 11pm when I was laying in bed with her she started coughing and throw up all over her bed/me. (she christened her bed, her second night in her new big girl bed.) I just about threw up with her. Yuck, kiddo puke is nasty and smells really bad. Now this is the first time in her 24 months of life, that she has been sick like this. She has had colds, coughs, fevers, but never throwing up like she did. As I yelled for Brian to come up stairs, she did it again in the bed. OMG, I was "stuck" the way I was laying and the puke was all over my arm, hair and chest. All I could do is scream louder for Brian to HURRY UP! Besides not being able to just roll out of bed, I was just plain stuck with the yack all over me and I didn't want it to get all over the floor, bedding, pillows. I just didn't want to move. As we clean her up and I strip her bed and take it all down to wash and we all end up in our bed. I only have one set of sheet for Isabella's bed, one mattress protector, one of everything. I'll be going shopping soon. So, we end up in our bed room and I take a shower and while I'm in the shower, she does it again. So we all end up in the shower! I strip the bed and put another set of sheets on and some towels on the bed we all lay down and drift off to sleep. She does it again, we clean up the mess, sort of, and back to sleep, she does it again, that was the forth time. This kept going for 6 times all together, and by 5:00am the throwing up was over. We had 4 showers, about 10 towels, all the pillow cases, 4 sets of sheets and a bit of clothes to wash on Sunday. Sunday, she ran a fever (she did not run a fever at all while she was yacking on everything). So, we spent the day catching up on laundry, sleep and nursing a fever. Monday she was all better! No fever after 5pm on Sunday, so I just knew we were scott free. But nope, Brian turned the AC on upstairs Sunday and didn't turn it back to heat Monday night when it got down into the 30's. So, she woke up Tuesday with a AC induced cold! Needless to say, she didn't go to school on Tuesday and now at after 10pm she is in her bed coughing her head off and gagging. I'm just waiting for her to start throwing up again. I am very unhappy with Brian, I wish I had known the AC was still on upstairs, he turned it back to heat downstairs, duh, switch it back upstairs....

Bath Time, Again...

This is from last week, on the 17th. Isabella loves to eat noodles, but the best part is when she is finished and usually when my back is turned, she goes crazy with the left over noodles. We had already had our bath this night and she had actually already had her dinner, but when mom and dad sit down to eat, she has to join us. Two baths in less than an hour....

Her bowl becomes a hat!!!

Butter noodles are not the easiest thing to get out of baby fine hair!!

All Done!

Finally!! Isabella's Big Girl Bedroom Furniture

Before furniture arrived...

After....

Isabella kept saying "bed, bed"

Isabella climbing up into her big bed on her new foot stool. I still need to paint it.

Yesterday, Isabella's big girl furniture arrived from Rooms To Go. Once it arrived I had all her sheets and everything washed and ready to make the bed up, so when she got home from Honey & Poppy's she would be welcomed by her bed. Side note: her 5 drawer chest is on back order.
So when Isabella and I arrived home from my folks house, Brian wasn't too far behind. We all met in Bella's room and bounced around and enjoyed her new furniture. I am thrilled it is here and I don't have to pick out furniture again for at least two more years (Cooper's). I think for Cooper, we'll do a bunk bed, they have some really, really cool boy bunk beds out there.

Massage....mmm mmm Good!

Since Brian let me sleep in today, I called the Grand Spa in Addison to see if there was anyway I could squeeze in for a prenatal massage. Yes! I got in! WooHoo! I was able to get a 12 o'clock appointment for a 50 minute massage. I have to say it was the best massage I have had in a very long time. Well worth it! I smell good, I'm all relaxed, I look fresher. Now if I could only reach my legs to shave them, I'd be on top of the world. Can't have your cake and eat it too...

He's Home...

No, not baby Cooper, but Brian. He arrived home from his ski trip yesterday and boy were we glad to see him!! Thursday night my folks came over to spend the night with us, but when mom arrived, she realized she forgot her clothes for Friday, she had a business meeting all day and would be seeing the same folks Friday as she did Thursday. So she couldn't just wash and wear the same clothes, folks would think she was wearing dirty clothes. So, she had the brillant idea to take Isabella back home with her and Poppy and then Poppy could take care of her Friday until I was ready to come get her. This would mean I would sleep in this big house all alone. Fine by me. The house cleaners would be at the house Friday morning at 8am and I would just go upstairs to sleep in Bella's bed (air mattress) while they cleaned. And yes, you guessed it, I didn't sleep a wink, but I didn't worry that Bella was going to walk down the stairs and into my room and scare me. I took a sleeping aid and tried to force myself to go to sleep. No such luck, oh, well. When the cleaning folks got here, I was able to sleep for 2 hours and I felt better when I woke up. RTG was going to be coming with Isabella's big girl furniture between 11 & 3. They arrived at 12:30 and then I was off to get Isabella from Honey & Poppy's in Corinth and then back home to greet Brian when he arrived. I'm glad Friday is over, it was a busy day. Thankfully I was able to sleep ALL night Friday night and Brian even put Isabella to be (first time ever) and then he work up and went upstairs when she woke up at 6am for more milk (another first time ever). Then he got up with her for the day at 8ish and didn't wake me. I was a happy camper!

Sleeping Alone!!

Since Brian has been gone, I have not slept much more than a wink at night. Even after taking a sleep aid, still no good quality sleep. In my past I have had major issues with sleeping. I sleep walk and have hallucinations during the night. I guess it happens more when I am under stress. I started having them again once we moved into this house, the hallucinations have been every night since the week before Brian left. And now I can't even get to sleep before I start seeing people in the house, and then sometimes I go to check out what's happening. I'm sure the stress of being pregnant and Brian being out of town isn't helping matter. None the less, I am exausted, really I am so darn sleepy I dont' know what to do. My mother and father are coming tomorrow night to stay with us and I just plan to go to sleep once they arrive. I really need to get Brian's tax work done, but I can't sit in front of a computer and input data without falling asleep or typing the wrong stuff in. I just can't wait for Brian to return, I really do relay on him, especially at night.

Dishing It Out

Today wan't such a great day. Once Isabella and I woke up and get ready for our day, we headed out to find a unfinished furniture store I knew of in Garland. We trot to Garland (actually Mesquite) to find the store is no longer open. UGH. Then we head to Plano, to see if we can find another one Mark P told me about, finally we found it. I have been looking for a step stool for Isabella's room for her new bed. It's a little high, so she's going to need a step to get up into her big girl bed. I wanted on that was off white like her bedroom furniture, I have not been able to find one, so I wanted to just paint my own. So, finally this Treasued Wood store has everything you would even need in unfinished wood. So we got one, it's wasn't as cheap as I wanted, but it is really nice quality wood and big! Needless to say, I was very frustruated looking for this store.

We got home and it was nap time (past time). I was exausted and ready to sleep, Isabella was too, but since she was so tired she keep trying to stay awake. She did not want to go to sleep. She did everything under the sun to stay awake. I was so angry I actually had my own tantrum. I made her cry and I felt really, really bad. I don't know if I made her cry because I raised my voice or if she cried because she was just so darn tired. Once she finally fell asleep, she slept for 3 hours. We both needed it.

Getting Scared

Last night while Isabella watched a ton of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the DVR, I was able to make my hospital bag check list. I googled a few sites to see what I should bring to the hospital for the 3 nights & 4 days I will be there. I got pretty scared, OMG, this is really going to happen and like in 8 weeks, thats 58 more days. I started remembering what happend last time and really spooked myself. I am scared, I am going to have two kids in a matter of, well, days. I need a stiff drink, oh, wait I can't have a stiff one, how bout a Dr. Pepper, in an IV.

Calgon, take me away...
